Hi All, Well what an eventful couple of weeks eh? What with royal weddings, dead terrorists and all the fun and games that goes with election time we've had a bit of a media bombardment! I think its now time to think about ourselves a little bit. We've been asked to care to much about other folk like the happy couple and 'poor old Nick Clegg', we may have taken our eyes off how WE are doing. I think one of the most important things we can do as people is to truly truly truly love ourselves. You have to love yourself for the person you are. You aren't perfect, I know you're not. Little secret here, neither am I, don't tell anyone though. What is perfection though? It actually doesn't exist in reality, only in fantasy and the media, they can be interchanged by the way. We should be recognising the fact that the person we stare at in the mirror is a fantastic person, a truly fabulous human being. If you have real love for yourself then you will start to radiate that love out to everyone else. They'll get that feeling of happiness and love from you and start to radiate it themselves, you can make others feel great by loving yourself, amazing eh? I know there will be a few sceptics out there who won't buy into this, that doesn't matter, they don't matter. That isn't the harsh thing it sounds like, it's simply accepting that you can't alter any other persons perceptions of things, only your own. If YOU truly believe in YOU then what anyone else thinks doesn't count in the slightest. The energy and good feeling you get from feeling good about you will massively outweigh the validation from anyone else. We don't need validation and trust me this is hard to accept. I've been a massive validation seeker, bowing to peer pressure in my life. It's no way to live a life though and I've never been happier than right now. Happiness that comes from this way of thinking is true lasting happiness, it won't go away. We will start to stress less about our outward appearance and what peoples opinions are of us and relax in our own skin. Happy times will follow folks. I'll sign off now and let you go look in the mirror and smile! Have a great time until I post again. Love to everyone from my little corner of Devon Sean x |
