Well hasn't it been a long time since I wrote on here, sorry I know you all wait with anticipation for the next chapter. Well I've got a lot to say at the moment but the reason I haven't Blogged it is because I want these pages to be positive, as much as possible, and my thoughts need to be written down that way, and sometimes that can be hard when I'm cross with how the world is going. I'll give it a go though. I've got two things on my mind at the moment that I want to share. The first and most important for me is the fact that Africa is in trouble with famine and the like, and children are dying because of it. I really think we all need to accept the responsibility of humanity to take care of each and every single life on this planet. There are kids dying in their parents arms because they don't have enough clean water to drink or any food to eat and it only makes item four on the news. It's 2011 for monkeys sake (monkey is my safe swear word when I'm around my daughter), this cannot still be happening. What can we do, care I think is the answer. It's very easy in this day and age with all of the images constantly being beamed at us to become apathetic and complacent about these issues. These are real, breathing, precious human lives. My daughter is precious to me and the thought that kids like her are not only not able to play and laugh like her, but are actually struggling to survive overwhelms me. We might not have lots of money at the moment but we sure as monkeys have more than them. Send whatever you can but perhaps more importantly make it known to government that this is an important issue to all of the lovely humans in this country and they, and the other mighty world leaders, need to sort it out and sort it out now. This brings me on to my second ponder point of the moment. I think we are all being a little bit easy on the government. They have a responsibility to govern our country for the better and they simply aren't doing that. I watched Prime Ministers questions the other day and I was disgusted at the attitude and behaviour of the people 'running' our country. They where shouting, grunting and being generally very disrespectful to each other. These people behave no better most of the time than the looters who disrespected neighbourhoods recently. The politicians lie, cheat and steal and yet we are supposed to ignore or forget that when they throw some 'bigger' problem out into the press. I say we need and must demand better from these people or get rid of them, not in four or five years but right now! We are living and breathing people who can demand that the government, also only people, do better or see them off and finally bring in people who can, with good sense, run the finances of the country. Why are people like you and me who work hard and pay a massive amount of tax's due to mismanagement of finances by elected officials. If England where a business the whole of parliament would have been dismissed by now. I'm aware that the government recently changed in name but the decisions being made are just as poor. The whole world debt is a totally fictitious concept as far as I'm concerned. We could quite easily say enough is enough, we call it all quits and we help those less fortunate, like the troubles in Africa that formed my first ponderance. Who loses in that scenario, not us and not the troubled of our world, just the mega rich and corporations. I'll stop here and apologise for the semi rant like nature of this Blog but I want people to care and know that we have a voice and we should use it. Massive amount of love to you all from my peaceful corner of Devon Sean x |
